With over a decade of experience working with dogs at an animal shelter, as an individual rescuer, as the co-founder of a center for rescued dogs,  and as a canine behavior consultant and applied ethologist, I’ve had the privilege of working with dogs of all kinds, from different backgrounds, and with unique personalities. Over the years, I’ve worked (and also live with) dogs who displayed, what we consider to be concerning or “problem” behaviours including but not limited to chewing and destroying, excessive jumping and barking, pulling on the leash, growling, lunging, and biting.

As a certified canine behaviour consultant and applied ethologist, I look at behaviour as more than just a reaction to a trigger.  My approach and the methods I follow when working with dogs are based around empathy, understanding, respect, and communication. I will work on analysing and identifying the root cause of the concerned behaviors your dog is displaying and develop a plan to help your dog become more comfortable, secure, and confident.
